CTSP Sampling Locations

Freshwater: Approx. 100 river systems have been selected, primarily in Ireland and Wales, to provide samples for the genetic and microchemistry baselines, and fisheries and production data. Several important sea trout systems in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man will be also be sampled. 25 of these rivers have been prioritised for detailed investigations of sea trout life history.

Marine: 22 marine zones have been identified for sampling ; estuarine, inshore and offshore sampling is scheduled.
